I have no idea why were charged fees. In the end we were forced to do much of the agent's work ourselves and correct their mistakes for them. I therefore consider the fact that we were charged anything all to be extremely unfair.

The agent's fee of £400 to tenants is not acceptable. It's been debated in the House of Commons, and agreed to be unreasonable and unfair. Many other agencies are now waiving this fee, as I understand it will be illegal to insist on it in the future.
