i have used fineholm in the past as a landlord and i can say that the some of the staff members are terrible. I was very happy once i stopped using them as they are not interested in giving good service to either the landlord or the tenant. ...

Lucas - I am sorry to hear you feel the service was not good while you were a tenant in the property. With regard to your issues specifically problem 1 and 2 , unfortunately as we act as agent for landlord we have to wait for landlord instruction and on occasion this may not be forthcoming, and further issues can arise which are completely outwith our control like the issue with the footpath, tyres and incorrect issue of notices ( from an old owner), Landlords can and do decide to take back ...

Unfortunately, sometimes things happen which are out-with our control. In this particular case, the landlord opted to use his own tradesmen to carry out repairs. Tenant reports withing 10 days - noted on inventory upon move in, and noted to colleague conducting viewing and still Fine Holm do nothing, therefore perhaps you need to review or uphold your end of the tenancy lease?! Again i state there is ZERO point in tenant reporting issues/filling out inventory if nothing is ever going to get done about it?! I didn't state that changes to inventory were not accepted over the phone, clearly wanted to point out that on move in Fine Holm supply general 'room' ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
I feel that the agent could have been more courteous and understanding that we never had a perfect property to begin with. We came into a bit of dirtiness but rather than making a fuss we decided to clean this ourselves rather than kicking up an unnecessary fuss. The house was cleaned before we left however if people are living in the property you have to expect imperfection to a certain extent as it has been lived in. We certainly should not have had all our deposit taken from us. It¢â‚¬â„¢s an absolute disgrace. Guaranteed we left the house in a better condition than we came into it.

I am sorry you feel you have not have a good service from Fineholm. We try to react to all maintenance request as quickly as possible given that we have to wait for landlord authorisation. We keep photos of all move outs and compare these to pre tenancy photographs and inventories. All our check out representatives are very experienced and will have evidence to support any deductions they feel are necessary. Our aim is to refund full deposit where we can. I am a landlord who entrusts my property to Fineholm whilst I am working out of the country. It sounds like you have been treated appalingly by them, as was I as a landlord.
