Personally speaking the fees are worth every penny. People may not be aware that Fineholm offer different type of management, from total hands on to simply finding a tenant.

Comment on agent fees
The flat was extremely overpriced for what it was - then rose within 6 months (then again for the new tenant). Im now paying considerably less for a much much nicer and tidier flat.

I'm sorry that you felt a member of the Fineholm team was cheeky , that should certainly not have been your experience . Deposits return can take some time especially where charges are not quickly agreed between parties, we are often waiting for invoices if cases where work has been done then we beholden to the deposit schemes. Hi Mark, In the vast majority of cases, check-out appointments are conducted and deposits refunded without incident. I'm sorry that hasn't been your experience. I assure you, however, that your complaint will be investigated in line with the ARLA recommended time frame and if we're unable to reach an agreement with regard to deductions from your deposit, an adjudicator will be appointed by SDS and I'm confident he/she will reach a fair conclusion. We are sincerely sorry that you feel things went wrong with our management of this tenancy. We understand how distressing it can be for landlords when a tenant fails to pay rent and mistreats a property. Our reports and photographs show that the property was inspected on 5 occasions during the tenancy and our Accounts Dept had lots of conversations with the tenant and rent visits when the problems with rent first arose. Unfortunately this tenant left the country and is now very hard to trace. ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
In reality nothing can change my mind at this point, the damage is done. As a gesture of goodwill they could agree to release the amount of my deposit that i deem fair but i know they won't do that as customer service is not in their ethos. Even then it would only be a drop in the ocean.
