Have you taken this up directly with Duncan? If I were you I wouldn't just move on to another estate agent and leave this one alone...if you're so appalled make sure other buyers don't fall into the same trap as you. Duncan Yeardley aren't a huge chain of estate agents and seemed to pride themselves on their reputation. If Duncan has a 'Rogue Agent' (excuse the pun) then you should let him know. Go in to the shop at Crown Wood and tell him what you did and what you found. Doing so would ...

Completely agree! In a different league to other agents. Nothing is too much trouble and the amount of knowledge the lady we dealt with had about each property was astounding. She remembered everything - Gave that feeling of a true proffessional! ...

Lost or replacement key

LOST KEY(S) AND/OR OTHER SECURITY DEVICE(S)
Tenants are liable for the actual cost of replacing any lost key(s) or other security device(s). If the loss results in locks needing to be changed, the actual costs of a locksmith, new lock and replacement keys for the tenant, landlord and any other persons requiring keys will be charged to the tenant. If extra costs are incurred there will be a charge of £15 per hour (incl VAT) for the time taken replacing lost key(s) or other security device(s).

Early Termination

EARLY TERMINATION (Tenants request)
Should the tenant wish to leave their contract early, this is subject to the landlord’s agreement and the tenant shall be liable for the landlord’s costs in re-letting the property as well as all rent due under the tenancy until the start date of the replacement tenancy. These costs will be no more than the maximum amount of rent outstanding on the tenancy.
