The agent fee structure is pretty consistent with what I've found elsewhere. I have opted for the managed service. Even if I found another agent who quoted cheaper prices I wouldn't move as I doubt they could match the service of Country Properties.

Too high! As prices exclude VAT sometimes and not others, it was harder to understand and calculate costs. Fees should be quoted with or without fees and not different for itemised items. The possibilities of what could be priced was quite long (which is good that they offer a lot of services) but would have been more convenient for a package deal.

A tiered pricing structure based on the price attained; yes, it was more than some other agents but we achieved a significantly better price for our property than they suggested which more than offset this cost and received additional services that helped everything run smoothly.

Agent's fees are expensive everywhere, so I'm not sure that any comment on this is a comment on Country Properties in particular. I don't think tenants should be paying quite so much in agents fees. However, I understand the need to check a tenant's ability to pay the rent and accept that it would be unfair to ask an agent/landlord to pay this for tenants who fail a reference check.
