The tenant in question, posing under the name "Poor Service" is in serious breach of his Short Assured Tenancy Agreement refusing Agent access to the tenanted property on 10 occasions over the last 11 months. All contractors engaged by us to carry out necessary or reported repairs are professional and reputable local firms. All charges made by contractors are paid by the landlord and not the tenant. Letting agents aren't allowed to charge fees in Scotland which I believe is different from other parts of the UK according to my friends who moved up from England, so I wasn't charged any fees by Roxburgh Group. When I rented my flat, a holding sum of £200 was requested but this wasn't really a fee as it went towards the deposit of £310 for my flat, so I only had to pay another £110 to make up the difference for the deposit and the entire amount was returned to me when I left via SafeDeposits Scotland. I was suprised by some of the comments here, I think as long as you leave the flat as its found and check the inventory carefully when you move in, you really shouldn't have any problems or additional fees or suprises. I really would recommend Roxburgh and would use them again.

JC Roxburgh Properties Ltd do not hold any tenants deposits. All deposits are held independently via a Government Approved Tenancy Deposit Scheme. No deductions can be made without proof and agreement of both parties. If they managed the property and didn't just take the money and do as little as they could then I would think about it , but no chance as I couldn't rent the house out after they gave me my keys back
