Title - Hamptons made what should be one of the most exciting achievements of someones of life to one of the most painful, stressful and least enjoyable things I have had to go through Don't get me wrong, buying a house can be very stressful but it can be made a far lot easier with a high quality estate agent - unfortunately Hamptons fall well below "high quality" from my experience. When people write reviews or provide feedback it's usually because they expect something back, perhaps a refund, an apology, looking out for others etc. I know there is nothing I am getting back from this, so why am I spending my free time writing up my feedback......it's purely to make sure nobody else has to go through the same nightmare and deal with the same attitude of the individuals I dealt with. I have read a few other reviews to see if my experience was a one-off and seeing some of the other comments, unfortunately it seems a few others have had a similar experience. Since day 1 of the discussions, the feeling of excitement quickly changed to a feeling that this wasn't going to be an enjoyable process. A few words to describe the way I was spoken to were, rude, unprofessional, bullied, harassed, arrogant ("I have been doing this job 12 years, don't question by ability"), defensive (there is no accountability when things don't go wrong), not being able to apologise for blatant errors. Attitude aside, the quality and detail of information provided was incredibly poor - documents scanned incorrectly (missing pages), incorrect information provided, there was even information that was hidden during the process that could have put me at financial risk. I only became aware of this information through my own research into the property. If I had known about it in the earlier stages I wouldn't have gone ahead with the purchase but given I was financially committed by the time I was aware, it was too late. Deadlines were set daily and when I needed something done there could be weeks between getting an answer. The buyer should feel like the estate agent had control in the process, at no point did I feel the purchase was in control until the keys were in my hand. Since moving in I have had to replace a leaky radiator and had got an oven that has been out of action for 4 months which cannot be fixed given the price of fixing the radiator, none of which was mentioned as issues when I asked if there any appliance/fixture issues. The overall feeling is just a massive disappointment as what should be a really exciting process was made a horribly painful one - the feeling of completing was more a relief to never having to deal with Hamptons in any capacity ever again. Not even a congratulations when the keys were collected…

After searching looking at about 16-18 properties around London I finally found a fabulous flat at 10 Priory Grove. Everything felt right from the moment I walked through the gates and I knew it was the place I wanted once I was inside the property. Ryan Harris played a big part, I found him... Read Full Review

I've had a pleasure to talk to Anna several times, and she's been a very helpful, warm, and open agent. She was professional, direct, and managed to make a personal connection that is so rare amongst the letting agent (but highly appreciated). She (successfully) negotiated a good deal with the...
