Attempted an offer for a rental property. Before even considering the offer, Flatmans wanted me to provide passport copies of all family members, salary records, employer name and email details. When expressing this was an unusual request and I didn't feel comfortable providing this level of information before an offer was even considered, I was informed the property was no longer on the market.... Lo and behold the property is still on the market.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
