Me and my partner went to view a flat in Pagham, we were very excited and it was perfect as it was a zero deposit scheme and no admin fee's. On the flat viewing we spoke to a guy called Matthew. We told him that we were getting a puppy and would he be able to double check this with the landlord. He advised us both that it was absolutely fine and that a whole had viewed the flat a day before and had two dogs and the landlord was absolutely cool with it. We were so pleased and called the next day to say we wanted to rent the lovely flat. We paid our fee's and were soon due to move in but my partner kept asking Matthew if we could have it in writing that it was all OK with the dog. A week before we were due to move in he called Matthew again and said he wanted it in writing before the end of the day as we were moving so soon and wanted to be 100%. That afternoon Matthew called my partner back and advised the landlord was no longer happy with the dog and we couldn't move in. We were so gutted and disappointed as we had been given false information from the estate agent. We actually managed to get in touch with the landlord and have now realised that Matthew never even mentioned the dog and that there had been no couple the day before with two dogs. Me and my partner are so upset as we have already given in our notice at the current flat and have to be out within a week, we are still struggling to find a pet friendly place to rent right now. We have complained to King and Chasemore but the manager was just as useless and the customer service we have experienced is just absolutely horrendous. I can't believe how we have been treated and I will certainly be sure to tell all of my friends and family just how awful King and Chasemore at the Bognor Branch are.
