What an awful experience.So unprofessional. We were mislead (that's the best I can say). phone calls and emails went unanswered for over a week, despite the known urgency of the situation. Vital information was not shared between buyer and seller leading to a last-minute panic.

18 Jul 2018Currently purchasing a property through Whitenights-what an awful experience it has been. The staff are rude and obnoxious, do not have basic communication skills and nor do any of them speak well.All I can say is avoid this estate agent! Absolutely disgusted with their customer service!

On calling to make a viewing they make it a requirement to use and provide information to their third party mortgage advisor. On calling to make a viewing they make it a requirement to use and provide information to their third party mortgage advisor. You cannot view or make an offer before you’ve provided all your details to this third party who then provides them back to the estate agent.
Not only is this putting buyers off working with them (something to consider if you are selling through them) but it’s arguably disadvantaging buyers who don’t use their mortgage services which could be illegal. I would personally not work with them as a buyer, I don’t think they will represent you fairly.
I already have an AIP and deposit more than sufficient for the asking price and they wouldn’t consider you at all before using their third party (whom they get commission from).
Ps. There’s many of these reviews, so you may lose quite a few offers compared to the competition.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
