AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
I chose this agency because I read their reviews on this website. My experience with this agency has been awful. I have to admit that this is the first time I deal with estate agents for selling a property but they really did not impress me..or the impressed in an extremely negative way. To the point that, if this estate agency is one of the good one....I'm totally lost for words!
I picked them because they were very honest regarding my property and the housing market at the current time...while other agents seem too good to be true in terms of marketing value and potential selling price...but they have seriously let me down.
They haven`t shown any professionalism in doing their job.
We had an open day arranged for today with only 4 appointments lined up ( I just found out that only one appointment has been done...but of course, they didn't even have the courtesy to inform me of the cancellations..which I think would have been polite ).
Mr Anthony( that I have seen for the first time on the day of the viewings, which is today)came to show our apartment to potential buyers showing up at the same time of the potential buyer. I would really like to point out that Mr Anthony has never been in my property before the time of the appointment. Is this behaviour professional? In my modest opinion it is not at all!
Then, he didn't even have the courtesy to wait for me in my property or to give me a call to let me know that he was finished...and I have to drive back to the high street, with my toddler, to pick my keys.
To close my review...I just want to forget about them...I don`t even care if I sell my property with them. I just want this awful experience over. I have to be honest...maybe you get better customer care with them ( and every other estate agents I guess!!) if you try to buy or sell a multi million dollar mansion...and not a flat worth around 450K.
Well.....you live and learn.
I'm just wondering now which of the estate agents out there are not going to be as disappointing as this one.
And I'm not even talking about the ability of selling my property ( which is not a bad property by the way)...I'm talking about decency, respect and professionalism in the little exchange you have with them.
I'm absolutely shocked by what I have experience today with Winkworth Chislehurst.
PS: If you wonder if I have exchanged my feelings with them ...yes I had...and they couldn't care less...obviously!
Comment on agent fees
I haven`t sold my property with them yet. I just want to share my bad experience with people that are about to sell their property and look for an estate agency. Just to warn them!!!!
Fees seems ok though..pretty average.

I am sorry that you have felt this way and even sorrier that you have felt the need to write such a negative review.
Firstly in regards to the open day, as mentioned to you on the phone and in the email I sent to you early on Monday morning I can 100% vouch for Anthony. He arrived at the property at 9.45am and the viewer was already waiting outside in the car park. Anthony spent 5 minutes talking to the gentleman and then came in to see you. I know this because Anthony called me at 9.51am to ask me a quick question. I am even prepared to show you my call log where you will see the time of the call. I also informed you the day before the open day that it would run from 10am - 11am, so did not feel the need to call you once this had been done. Again I apologise if I was not clear.
Secondly, we sell properties in many different price ranges from 1 bedroom flats up to large detached houses and we do not discriminate based on the type of property they have. Your property is beautiful and a truly stunning flat and we have every interest in making sure we sell the property to the best buyer for the best price. When Steve and I came to visit you at your property we were very honest with you and discussed the price in detail. You even agreed with us that you were surprised at the price the other agents had valued your property for and you felt this was unrealistic. Also as discussed on the phone only a few hours ago today you agreed with me that the market may not be in your favour and you also agreed with my comments.
Thirdly, in regards to your feelings I sent you a detailed email on Monday 7th July 8.42am describing in detail the events on the Saturday and acknowledging your concerns. I apologise if this was not soon enough however I was not working that weekend.
We did not know until the viewing that the other three viewings had cancelled and we even sent emails and text messages to all parties on the Friday before to confirm. We had every intention of informing you of the outcome of the open day but we did not have a chance to call you as you came into the office at 11.05am on the Saturday. Five minutes after the open day had finished. Anthony had not even had a chance to return to the office.
It is a shame that you felt the need to leave such a negative review before letting me explain in detail what had happened and why things had panned out the way they had. As you can see from the other excellent comments below we treat all our clients with the upmost respect and professionalism and I am sorry if you felt that wasn’t the case with yourself. Hopefully my explanation of events has cleared matters up for you.
If you wish to discuss this further with me please do not hesitate to contact me at the office.
Kind regards,
Chris Lang
