Although we appreciate when you are buying a property, the estate agent works for the seller and not the buyer, unfortunately Gascoigne Pees were exceptionally remiss in their behaviour towards us as a buyer. Upon our request, they obtained a report for damp in the property, and we have since found out they withheld certain pages of the report from us in order to hide the extent of the work that needed doing.
Our solicitors also advised they had been lying to all parties along the chain throughout the process, telling each of us the other was going to pull out in order to hurry the sale along. This added to an already stressful time.
I would NEVER recommend them, nor ever use them again.
