I have rented a property from Wilkinsons Estates and I can tell you they are the worst letting agents I have ever encountered. They use bullying tactics as you can see from Matthew Wilkinson's replies to reviews on this web site.

Examples of poor customer treatment include;
None of the staff seem to be communicating, and I would get multiple calls at unsociable hours (8am on Saturday) to deal with non-urgent matters. The property was not professionally cleaned when I arrived but that was deducted from my (large and disproportionate) deposit. When the estate agents viewed the property to other tenants they left the flat very dirty, with mud prints all over the carpet and left the windows open over the weekend. Any problems I had with the property or tenancy were met with rude, and quite bullying tactics and threats were used to get their own way. Please stay clear of this estate agents. They claim to have the lowest admin fees in the area, that is because they will take your money in other ways. Go with another agent!!

Another phantom 'review' packed with untruths. Why do you not admit who you are to enable your lies to be answered? There's only one reason.

However some points to be made:
We aren't even open at 8AM Saturdays.
How did we 'take your money in other ways'? Any costs due to your poor upkeep of the property would have gone to contractors, not us.
'Large and disproportionate deposit'? It would have been 1.5 months rent, unless you had pets. Same as virtually every agent requests.
It will have been protected by the TDS - nothing can be deducted without the tenants approval.
Why would we open the windows on a viewing?

Pls leave your name, then I can answer your points further and other agents and landlords can steer clear of you.

What agent could do to change your mind?
They should remember their tenants are paying customers also and should at least try and maintain a basic level of good customer services. If they do not know what this is, then maybe a staff training day should be organised and then they can put all the money they have ripped off from tenants to good use.

Our inventories are performed by an independent clerk and any deductions from a deposit have to be approved by the ex-tenant. Let me know who you are, and what property you refer to, and I’ll respond to your comments. I doubt you will, as ‘throw a stone from the trench’ complainants never do. Coincidence? I doubt it. In 19 years we have never had a tenant with the first name of ‘Daisy’, so I assume you are someone with so little conviction in your comments that you’ve decided to change names. From the information in your comments I know which property and tenancy this relates to. Unfortunate as it is, outgoing tenants are often surprised at the thoroughness of the independent inventory clerk (I am not sure why you imply they are not independent?). Whilst it is not inconceivable that carpets were soiled during viewings, I think it is unlikely, and surely you would have commented on it at the time. That the sofa was soiled by the agent as well does seem rather far-fetched. It is no ...

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed).
