Very unprofessional and unacceptable service. I paid 108 gbp online to view properties which are not available. I had clarified my needs and requirements both on the phone and via email I had selected 10+ properties which seemed to be suitable (we agreed to go for flatshares for max 120 per week with cosy single bedroom with possible a double bed for single occupancy, drawers, wardrobe, desk and shared fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and clean bathroom)
Interlet booked for me an appointment in acton which is a place I did not choose and I asked to cancel and an appointment in west Kensington for a slightly higher price than requested but that according to them could meet my expections.
i went to see the property and instead of a flatshare i found an hotel (i am not even sure we could call it hotel because it was worse than a hostel and it does not even exist online, they have no website, etc...). the owner showed me a room which costed 650 per month (not 500/520 as I requested!!!), the room was not in a flat share but was a studio flat without the washing machine which was also one of my "must have".
the room was underground and definitely did not match my needs and expectations. also they proved not to know the properties they advertise because they said "Don't have much information in regards to that room in East Acton as got it only today, so no pictures"
i have read many other negative reviews on other websites and i have already asked for a refund. i do not recommend this agency at all. usually we ask agents to find flats for us, especially in new cities like London to avoid rip off and to be sure that they provide additional good service which can make our life easier. Interlet is just asking for money and not giving a good service at all.
What agent could do to change your mind?
they should advertise only available properties, be more professional, know what they advertise and do not take advantage of people who are relatively new to the city or the country and ask for very expensive fees providing an awful and unreliable service
