This is an excellent independent firm in Basingstoke whom I would thoroughly recommend. Their committment, professional, and friendliness were second to none. Their valuation was spot on and not over-egged like some of the bigger chains - one of the reasons I chose them. I felt was getting experience and, importantly, honesty from The Property Explorer's staff. They handled all my viewings, sorted the EPC, and kept me constantly updated with sales progress. They secured 5 viewings for my flat and 2 offers. When the first offer fell through, they had secured another offer within a few days, which went through to completion (20th June 2014). The buyer for my flat had a tight deadline because of mortgage complications and I must single out Wendy Ellis for her dogged determination with both sets of solictors to make sure everything stayed on track and that contracts were exchanged. Wendy responded to emails the same day often by return. I'm not sure I would have got this level of service and hard work from some of the more *slick* chains. I would use this company again and I could not argue with a fee of only 0.85% + VAT. Very competitve price, probably partly symptomatic of the higher number of agents in Basingstoke, so there is lots of competition. The firm uses Rightmove and Primelocation and I was also happy with my listings and the publicity given to my property. All in all, a very good experience.

We had a deal that was marketed with a flyer through the door for a 0.75% fee. It was not stated on the flyer that this was excluding VAT, so when the invoice came through we were a little surprised as we had budgeted on a flat 0.75% fee.
