Where do I begin! The flat we rented from Belvoir was in an unclean condition when we arrived last August and we have just been charged a £130 cleaning fee for dirt, the vast majority of which was already there to begin with. All we could take responsibility for was one piece of food on the hob that you would need a microscope to see. We were nonetheless blamed for a mouldy shower curtain (there when we moved in) and dirty carpets (filthy when we moved in).
Belvoir never respond to your needs. On three separate occasions we asked for a new hoover in order to try and lift the dirt on the carpets and we never received one. The hoover we were working with was the size of a lunchbox with no attachment and after three hours of cleaning we simply gave up. Thanks to this effort we received a £130 cleaning fee.
Belvoir are a complete disgrace. I have never in my life been refused any amount of my deposit back, and it is ridiculous that after three straight days of cleaning my flatmate and I are out £130. Having read other reviews, and remembering the state of the flat when I moved in, I highly doubt that any of that £130 will be used to improve the quality of the flat.
If this wasn't enough, the viewings were conducted by a very rude member of staff who talks to you like you are five years old, and the inspection prior to moving out was conducted by one of the most patronising and obnoxious women I have ever had the misfortune to meet.
People of Dundee, listen to me! Stay well away from Belvoir Lettings Dundee! Their properties are old, filthy and falling apart, their staff are very unpleasant to deal with, and they will do absolutely anything to avoid giving you back your deposit in full.

n unfortunate amount of inaccuracies in the response from someone I would have thought might be better informed.
