Me and my partner rented a flat through Andrews for two years. However the property was managed by the landlord. The estate agents have been serious and professional throughout but I am slightly disappointed that the processing time for getting a deposit back is 1 month!! We were told it was going to take around 2 weeks. Both landlord and estate agent have been keen on getting the rent and fees on time but when it comes to returning money there appear to be no rush. We have been superb tenants making sure to pay everything on time and to leave the flat in a good condition. As we have put down a deposit somewhere else we have been put under a lot of financial pressure due to this. Will not use them again.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Process the deposit returns quicker. A month is a ridiculously long waiting time. Plus, we handed the deposit to agents via a bank transfer. We were expecting a bank transfer back. Not a check! How old-fashioned!
