Don't have an especially high opinion of individuals in this line of work, but these people take the piss. Staff and manager (when you can get through to him and on the very rare occasion he bothers to return phone calls) are experts in weasel-worded excuses but consistently fail to act, even when they make repeated promises and assurances to the contrary. Property allowed to decline and crumble before our very eyes, whilst vital maintenance and repairs (as recommended by their own surveyors) was failed to be undertaken. Property became infested with damp and mould shortly after we moved in, to the extent that we had to abandon part of the property. When it rained, water would seep in and run down the walls. Landlord doesn't care and Castles admit they have no power to make him. Please do not use these people as they will only cause you misery. We have subsequently moved out and away from this company, although sic weeks later we are still no closer to seeing the return of our deposit (despite no disputes from the company about the amount we are owed). Seriously considering legal action.

Great Service, I dealt mainly with Michael who I found to be very professional. The property was fantastic however the cleaning was not brilliant but they were able to send someone around the same day to sort it out....

Awful awful service.
They tried to claim our carpet was professionally cleaned before we moved in. It was thread bare and filthy, it can't have even been hoovered let alone shampoo'd! they demanded we pay them £180 to have them cleaned again by a company of their choice, which coincidently shared their address. They even produced a fake invoice which overlapped the period we had lived there!
We said we'd dispute the money being taken from our deposit, they got really angry and abusive.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

They soon back tracked when we asked for the registration number/details for our deposit that they should've registered with the council deposit scheme.
It was hilarious the guy was literally fake rummaging through the papers on his desk looking for it. Got our money back within minutes.
Total con artists, it makes me so angry thinking how many other people they've conned in the same way.
