Belvoir in Swindon are a complete joke. Currently, we have had no hot water for over a week and this is the 3rd time it's happened in 6 months. Any time something goes wrong at the flat it takes at least 3 calls for them to do anything about it. Lights in the bathroom were broken due to faulty wiring and didn't get repaired for 3 months!

What agent could do to change your mind?
Get work done on time, Not use the rouge tradesman they send to do the work round the property's. also have some phone manners. and they never check there wear and tear of a property.

Hi redned. It does seems that way! What annoys me, is that they do a fairly extensive tenant search but obviously not a landlord one. I viewed a let through another agent and was told that the one "golden rule" in all lettings is that the letting agent must have a "letter of authority" from the landlords mortgage lender. In this case, I have lost any chance of an extension to the eviction date because of this. I will speak to the judge on Wednesday to see where I stand. I still have not found an ...

You can go to the council that have a department for dealing with private landlords ans making them do repairs. Or go to the shelter website they have a template letter which you can write to the landlord saying that if they do not do the work in fourteen days you will do the work yourself and take the money out of the rent. I have done this with kettering after living with a leak for months and guess what the repairs were cariied out in just over a week. Good luck ...
