Myself and my partner have had an AWFUL experience with Jones Robinson in Newbury. We moved into a rented property in March and there are still a number of issues which have still not been resolved. The check in inventory was completely ridiculous with pages and pages of faults which were not rectified prior to moving in. The house was dirty even though we were assured it would be deep cleaned. Rubbish was left inside and outside of the property. There was no running water in the bathroom. There was mould in the bedrooms which had still not been treated even though we were promised this would be treated and painted over before we moved in. Door handles were missing or hanging off. Fencing was broken and sharp. None of the white goods had been checked and the freezer, washing machine and oven had to be replaced. I have listed numerous issues, however there are so many more I would end up writing an essay. Some problems have been rectified but we still have problems which are still underlying. The overall experience has been very stressful and upsetting. Contacting the manager in charge of our property is also very difficult. I would not recommend using this company from a tenants point of view at all. We have never had an issue with renting through other letting agents before and are shocked at the bad experience we have had with Jones Robinson.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Take responsibility for the problems we have incurred. We are renting a property which should be up to a liveable standard and it was not. Respond to emails which have been sent. Be professional and not rude.

I met with you personally at the property once you moved into the property where we discussed and listed all of the issues you had raised. The landlord was extremely reasonable with carrying out works spending in excess of £6,000 to satisfy your requests, even though some of the works were not requested by you prior to moving into the property. I have provided you with my contact details and emergency out of hours details should any issues arise, I have also responded quickly to your emails and any messages you have left so I am sorry if you feel that I have not met your expectations. I have emailed you on a couple of occasions to follow up the works that have been completed and I have not received a response from you.
