I was shocked to see how good the reviews are about this agent, as the service we received as tenants was appalling. It is strange also that all of the reviews are from a landlord perspective and not a tenant perspective. Let me shed some light....
I found Craig to be one of those types that can only seem to deal with matters via email, rather than use the telephone / face to face, and complaints I made regarding the property were always either rejected, or dealt with in a very argumentative manner (very inappropriate, I thought), which is why it made me laugh when I saw some of his replies to complaints on here - very drawn out, very argumentative, VERY sanctimonious, as though your opinion does not count and what you are saying is untrue somehow. The complaints I had were serious complaints, and problems that according to the contract I must report to him immediately. Were they dealt with...?! Nope!
Craig is a coward and does not like dealing with problems head on, but would rather have a rant behind his computer where he feels big and brave, and operates a blame "he said, she said" culture, which I have no interest in whatsoever.
Craig felt the need to continuously say one thing to my face, and something else entirely via email, which eventually lead me to leave the property. It became clear that he was also telling me one thing, and the landlord something different, which came to a head when I finally met the landlord.
I could not trust Craig as far as I could throw him and all of this has now resulted in some of my deposit being held back....Even though I reported the problems, which were not caused by me, he told me at the inspection he would deal with them, and nothing happened. But worse of all he then claimed we never had this conversation about the problems at a later date! Talk about insulting my intelligence.
I know 3 other tenants that have dealt with Craig Johnson and received the exact same sub-level service, so beware Landlords!!!! I know if I was a landlord I would not wish for my tenant to be treated in this way and would want to know of any serious problems straight away so they can be rectified.
As far as customer service goes, what customer service? I work in a similar industry and if I treated my clients in this same way, I would be out of business by now.
Completely unprofessional, and a stress that I am now thankfully relieved of!
No more long argumentative nit-picking emails from my agent, hurrah!
I am not posting this to try to get a response, but to inform landlords and potential tenants of my personal experience.

Any landlords considering letting your property should choose an agent who provides you with a good solid tenancy agreement and professional inventory to protect your investment.
