Initial meeting great when we were putting the property on with them, very nice guy but then.......... downhill from there.
Sale agreed for full asking price which was great.
From the the original call with the offer , no updates, nothing not even a courtesy phone call regarding the progress of sale
We emailed them as requested with a list of items for our buyers to purchase, nothing heard back from this email
In view of this we sold some of the items elsewhere.
Even after a complaint email and follow up call when they were told exactly how we felt and expressing our concerns, and also saying in the email we assumed the buyers did not want the goods as we had not heard back, still no updates or communication unless we called them.
The buyers had in fact told them they in fact wanted all of the items, so we both lost out from this.
We were only aware of this when our solicitor told us the buyers wanted the goods.
One phone call we did have was when we advised them we would take the house off the market unless we had a reply by end of the day, that worked ! we had a call back...
Asked them to chase solicitors re exchange as we had not heard, told they would call us back at 9am next day - no call back until we called and chased again!
Date of completion even incorrect on the exchange letter
Very poor service from a firm that looks good but fails to deliver! Not listening to their customers or reading the emails properly.
Overall experience is of a lack of customer service once they have your business which comes across as rude, and that they are just interested in the cash !
We would complain to them, but feel we will just be fobbed off - sorry, we understand etc etc, but that doesn't make it right to deal with people that are paying large sums of money for this service. At the very least they should try to make you feel the fee you have paid has been earned !
Even our buyers have written to them to complain and ask for compensation as they feel they lost out due to their lack of response.
