I am currently still renting with Pulvercarr. Still tied up in the dreaded contract that me and my partner wish we never signed. Apart from our landlord who owns the shop we live above having no dealings with us, walls with mould and paint pealing (in a 1 year old room), huge damp patches in master bedroom and front room, leaking in the main bedroom, carpet coming away from corners and door was, (our neighbour had to tack down the carpet on the communal stairway as one of the children almost fell), mould growing all the way up the communal stairwell, no internal stopcock and the freezing cold draft that constantly runs through the apartment (15 degrees if heating isn't on and this is in april) the gas usage is around £100 a month as the heating has to be near enough constantly on. As a tenant I have done more than enough to follow my contract by reporting these issues when they were MINOR, this was in October, it is now April and nothing has been done. Both Allan and Steven ignore emails (very professional) and won't take calls. When they do rarely take the calls and tell us the builders or plumbers will be in touch. . They never do get in touch. And if they do (again rare) it's to say they will be round an hour before they want to start work (me and my partner both work full time Jobs and should by law of the contract be given reasonable notice) we have on occasions both booked days of work and missed money to wait it all day for a builder who was meant to be coming round at 9am and turns up at 2pm y not actually do any work because they can't understand english very well or because they were informed of a different job that needed taking out. My neighbour below also rents with Pulvercarr and has to constantly throw his children's toys and clothes out as they are full of mould. Environmental health have visited and issued them a letter of work that mended to be carried out. And the builders got as far as putting scaffolding up.. This was around 6 weeks ago. No work has taken place despite the brilliant weather to do so. I wouldn't recommend renting or buying with this company. They don't seem to fully know there roles as estate agents and do not fulfil there side of the contract at all. As soon as they get your money they are quick to ignore you and let you live in awful situations. They were amazing people we handed over the money and signed contracts . constantly calling and being pleasant. But that was just a conning plea to get us to sign. Don't become a victim of this companies unprofessional tactics.
