Absolutely ridiculous company! Severe lack of communication between all staff, branches and with ourselves (the tenant). Failed to tell us vital information that we needed to know after we incurred a house fire, and finding ourselves going directly to the landlord. Spoke to several different staff members each time all of who were as equally useless. The landlord told us he no longer wanted to let it out and wanted to sell up and said he had informed DDM of this, yet on that same day they rang and told me our tenancy was not going to be ended. Changing their mind every 2 seconds whether we had to leave the property and regarding deposit, then saying the complete opposite to what they originally said the next day. They don't have a clue what is going on and to say we have a young child have no urgency or regard for anyone else. We were told if we cleared the property and handed keys in we would get some deposit back so we did, then they emailed saying we were entitled to nothing. Really unimpressed, no regard for the customer at all.

Dear Miss Oldman, You have admitted the house fire & smoke damage was caused by your own negligence and started in the bedroom on a Friday evening. You told us this house fire was caused by smoking. You were aware smoking was prohibited in the house. The landlords are deeply distressed and their loss will be extensive, even taking into account the insurance claim. I am pleased you and your young child managed to escape without incident and assure you we are dealing with this matter quickly and professionally.

Totally utterly unprofessional & disgusting, the way of how they regard tenants when you moved out. Thanks to TDS intervention that we got a partial deposit instead of paying 3 times of our original deposit. This company DO NOT rent houses to people. Hi Jayne, My apologies for this being the first response you have had. We are sorry you had a bad experience with us at DDM. With regards to the offer, by law we have to put all offers forward we receive this could have been by someone who previously viewed the property. The communication isn't acceptable and i will make sure this improves. ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Provide an efficient service with communication from the agent that comes in a timely manner without landlord initiation. Provide excellent customer service that justifies the management fee. Offer compensation for mistakes or redemtion of some of the fee for incompetencies.
