Tried to rent a property in Crewe, The Estate agent was telling lies not just about the landlord but also about herself. They took the attitude that we were not suitable for the property before receiving our references. At one point they asked for 3 months rent up front. Arrogant, ignorant and self serving. I would strongly suggest that you look elsewhere. Example of lies. It was a landlady, then a landlord who was offering the property said the MCG rep. Landlord was at the property on viewing, told me it was originally his first home. MCG told me he had bought the property to let. Other more personal lies were told as the representative was more interested in being the better person during conversations. Representative then told us that she had to leave, essentially ejecting us from the property. Having spoken to the landlord myself at the property it was agreed that the deposit would be reduced. MCG wanted addition deposit for a pet, regardless of the land lords view that it could be reduced. At one point they asked for 3 months rent in advance (3000 pounds) due to imperfect credit history on reference from Rent sure. We contacted rent sure, they corrected the reference and re-sent it to MCG - MCG ignored it. We are still waiting for both copies of this document from MCG. Overall, the service from MCG was let down by two-faced reps, including one rep who showed us the property who clearly felt a little jealous that we were in the running for a lovely home and didn't want us to stand a chance of getting a home that was so nice. She lied and wasn't consistent with the lies she told not just about the property but also about herself and he personal life. Overall, quite rude - When we asked how long it would take to get the references back we were told 'how long is a piece of string?' Overall, another jumped up estate agent, self important, conniving office staff that treat properties like they belong in their own personal portfolio (they wish, stick to your 6 pound per hour desk jobs girls you don't deserve anything more than a bedsit in your portfolio). Many times we went into the office and didnt see anyone so much as answer the phone. Try ringing them and they claim members of staff are busy as they are reluctant to deal with the matters in hand. I cant put more personal information online due to wanting to protect the identities of the staff we dealt with. Stay away from these idiots. It should be a fruit and veg shop.
