I am thoroughly impressed with the high quality personal service I received working with Living in London. The difference with other estate agents is stark. I firmly believe that the purchase of our flat would never have gone through if it wasn't for the persistance and innovative thinking of the team here. Sabir, in particular, never, ever gave up on us (even when we felt like doing so). I must have spoken to him over a period of a year, and he was in regular contact with us on the phone (something which is probably essential if you are to compete in buying), sometimes for as long as 20 minutes or so, just chatting, never racing to call the next person, which we really appreciated. He always had time for you and never rushed you (when we looked round our very-near-to-completion property he gave us so much time to measure things up and ask questions, even though it certinaly wasn't benefitting him to afford us this time. In contrast, we looked at another property previously with YourMove, again close to completion but which subsequesntly fell through, and the agent was shuffling about in the corner, hands in his pockets, reminding us that we only had 25 minutes before he had to go somewhere else (he was also half an hour late and told us that WE got the time wrong!)
With Living London though, the whole team is very friendly and dropping in their office is a welcoming and positive experience. I can recall several times we went in and they gave us a lot of advice on trends and where the smart decisions lie in buying. At that point we were just enquiring, but it was quite refreshing to speak to staff who don't see you as a very replaceable number. The staff listen and remember what you say. Sabir showed us around increasingly more suitable properties as he understood better what we were looking for, even taking account small points I may have made 6 months earlier that I myself had forgotten!
The staff genuinely care and want to get you the right result. This very much became apparent when chasing solicitors. The purchase was complicated due a lease extension. Both solicitors were terrible, not willing to budge on their position to facilitate progress, and it looked very much like it would fall through. Sabir came up with an ingenious solution that suited all parties. Honestly, I think the solicitors were taken aback by an estate agent telling them how to proceed legally - it's testament to the knowledge and dogged work ethic of Sabir and his colleagues that made this happen, and I urge anyone at their wit's end to contact this professional team and let them do what they do best.
