I think Acorn is not worthy to have a star..... thank go we didn't rent the property. We had let agreed based on few conditions that property should be cleaned thoroughly and if possible replace bathroom unit. Landlord didn't agree to it but promised the property is cleaned. We didn't have any other options than this house. We agreed to it and the tenants moved out a week later and when we called for 2nd viewing to check if it's all fine. But on the day of appointment they called and said property is not yet ready lots of cleaning need to be done. We planned to move in the next day. We pleaded our landlord to give us 1 more week to stay in the house and desperately asked Acorn to make sure the property is ready to move in next week. We again booked 2nd appointment to view it. We called up morning and confirmed its all clean to view. When we went there as soon as we saw the front door we were sure its not cleaned. Cleaning is big term its not even in a condition to live. Not even a vacuum done on carpets. Spiders hanging everywhere. We must move into new house next day and Acorn left us in such a situation. We asked the guy 'will you move into this house'....he immediately said if you want you can also clean the house and we will pay compensation.... Never heard such thing from any agents so far.... Is it our responsibility to clean the house we moving in though you give large money we are not cleaners :)...... After giving so much thought we decided not to take this house and called up and asked the deposit back... He said he can't give as we are not taking property. We said the property is not ready as you mentioned and skipped the dates also. We will move legally. He just dropped the phone..... Worst agency ever.
