We just want to point out that the figures quoted here are still under negotiation with you and as yet, both parties – Landlord and Tenant, are still to agree the costs which we may add, were highlighted by a professional third party inventory clerk, not CHKM.
As a responsible Agent, we always ensure an inventory clerk is used for check-in and checkout so that there is clarity for Landlords and Tenants on any damages that may have been caused. This is for your protection.
It’s never an easy task to deal with check out issues, particularly if the Landlord is seeking a damage claim against a Tenant which results in a contractor being sent to remedy any repairs - as there is usually a minimum call-out charge.
CHK Mountford hold deposits as stakeholder under the rules laid down by ARLA and TDS. All of which are here to protect the deposit and ensure fair play.
Dealing with contentious check out issues is part of our daily role and we have to accept that, but to mention that CHKM should be avoided is a little unfair under the circumstances.
