When we moved in to the property there was a mice infestation in the shed, poor electrics, no working washing machine, tumble dryer or fridge, mould on the curtains, broken units, items left in the property, mould in the cupboards and a leaking toilet, despite being reassured that the property is in good/excellent condition. The bath was moulded and rotted and eventually fell apart which required a whole new bath replacement. After being a previous tenant with Dave Wells (who hold the title of Landlord from hell, ITV), I found their letting service 5* in comparison to that of Nevin and Wright and feel they should receive that status instead. After 84 emails, not all the issues addressed over 6mths ago have been resolved and most of the important things such as white goods have had constant issues. Please do not use this letting agents. The previous tenants before me also had a bad experience which i have recently found out.
What agent could do to change your mind?
If the estate agent had resolved the issues. Would have been helpful if they had helped in finding myself and my son suitable accommodation whilst essential work was carried out on the property instead of charging us rent and allowing us to live out of a suitcase. Covering the costs of the effects that it had on us. Keeping us updated and informed when they suggested that they would. Abide by the legal obligations as set out in our tenancy! It takes nothing to ...... Apologise but only received an apology once after they gave a key to the property to an external company and entered without informing me or gaining permission!
