The agency have did not put my deposit into DPS or TDS like scheme until 9 months into my tenancy, nor the landlord even though we were chasing it for ages. They also broke the law as they have a 30 day period to do this. My landlord was never present and did not fix things when we managed to get a hold of him and requested so. No one managed the property we had a broken flush for over 7months and a sewage smell for 3 months towards the end of our tenancy. They have now quoted ridiculous amounts for fixing small things which I offered do myself since I have building and carpentry experience my father is a builder. The landlord is demanding a proffessional paint job which I offered to do without labour charge or anything. Charging £110 pounds for cleaning in a 1 bed house when i usually get it cleaned by a proffessional company for £24 pounds 2 hours deep cleanse 2 cleaners. There were safety hazard when we first moved into the property wires dangling down from jnder kitchen cupboards, the hob electricutes you even now if your not standing on the ground. Were being charge for redecorating the whole house basically. Which a paint job would cost maximum £70 if i did it myself. In my opinion wear and tear wasnt even taken into account. The agency does not even care about tenants only about their money and ripping people off
What agent could do to change your mind?
Allowed us to repaint at the fraction of the cost and repair any other things ourself instead of charging ridiculous repair cost. Put our deposit in the scheme within 30 days even though they told the landlord and he was liable for this. This made them look like the dodgiest agency in the whole of hillingdon

Retracted this review there was miscommunication between ourselves and the agency. They addressed our issue and resolved it on the same day

What agent could do to change your mind?

What agent could do to change your mind?
I had hoped to have a calm discussion with the manager of the agents over a dispute about the refund of a reference fee. Instead I was talked down to by a rude man with no decorum or manners and with no intention of hearing my side of the story. Some basic customer service skills may have left me feeling slightly less dissatisfied.
