Where to begin, viewed a flat that we loves instantly and put holding deposit down. Paid an additional £360 for referencing which we ended up chasing ourselves. Lots of minor things were missed in the inventory so I added them to it later but the lady would not sign it. I let it go. A few weeks in and I noticed problems, winter approaching and when it rained i came home to find a flooded kitchen. Somehow it got through the kitchen door. Reported straight away and waited but ended up shoving a towel down there. Light bulb was hanging down the ceiling and half of them didn't work and just blew up, washing machine plug had to be at a certain angle to work. Reported again about dodgy electrics, nothing done. Reported extreme lack of insulation through patio doors (like paper) and crack in the window in bedroom, nothing done. Started feelin a bit ill as was my partner and one day noticed our coats were literarily covers in green fluff, investigated further and found specs on photo frame, under the sofa and eventually giant mushroom spores behind the washing machine. I took pictures and emailed them over and over, after nine months and feeling dreadful we gave up and had to move. Agent was useless and said it's down to the landlord who actually blamed us for the mould but told us we knew it was damp when rented, who would rent a damp property for £825 a month and have throw everything they owned in the bin? D******d. Only got deposit back after threatening legal action. Do not rent 6A Bath street. Do not use Cambridge!
