I really do hope not all Estate Agencies are like Atlantis... When I went to the office to collect the keys of the house I had rented, nobody from the Agency came with me to the property. When I opened the door, I could notice the house was very dirty, it had not been hoovered, there were old chips in the oven, the floor both in the kitchen and the bathroom were wavy and mouldy (a big piece of PVC, not even well cut...) and I am not going to tell you how the WC looked like: too bad it was pale pink, therefore impossible to find, otherwise I would have replaced it. No meter reading, no inventory, I had to struggle to have the garden key, big stains and bare patches in the carpet, dirty walls with many holes, the towel racks in the bathroom? 2 bamboo looking plastic plates with nails popping out holding... nothing!
The state was pitiful to say the least.
Since March I am waiting for somebody to fix one of the 2 heaters as the whole house is single glazed and very cold, 3 people came, of course without notice..., one even tried to enter the house while I was in... But then, if one pays the rent with 1 day delay, Atlantis charges 30 GBP, in this case they seem to know what "a quick and prompt reaction" is... On top of that, I have a feeling I will not get my deposit back, even if I changed the floor in the kitchen and the bathroom myself.
Very poor service. Beware.

As outlined in the review there were many instances of unethical / disrespectful behavior which seems to be ingrained into the culture of this organisation. If the owner of this small agent is not responsible for this bad culture he should seek a wholesale review of how they comply with managing lettings and seek to improve internal systems so that they can make the necessary profits without breaking the basic standards expected by tenants in Reading.Attached Filesnbsp;

I'm sorry you've not been entirely satisfied with your rental experience and have taken to this website to air concerns. Just to confirm a couple of the points you've made, firstly all fees associated with a tenancy are clearly outlined in the Tenancy Agreement you signed prior to moving in.
