The Ombudsman and the OFT are looking into this, as you know, not only have you have responded to them, you have been cc'd in on correspondence!!!! The case comes before them for review in April and i will happily publish the findings on here for you. Perhaps with so many complaints you cannot recall them individually, I quite agree the numbers of viewings and offers is information that should only be communicated to vendors, hence my surprise at it being communicated to myself!! I was most surprised, and being a potential vendor - wouldn't use SW19, and would advise many other vendors to experience being an applicant prior to using them either.

Thank you for your offer to contact you directly, sadly though, I have, many times emailed you personally, and your branch, and receive no response. I only resorted to my above comments as you don't respond to emails and have been very rude on the phone.

In response to the writers points – I cannot comment accurately on the specifics of this particular issue without the facts and would request the writer contacts me directly so that I may address his or hers particular experience as I am also not in receipt of any complaint of this nature from the Property Ombudsman or OFT.

Generally if an offer is being accepted we would not wish to waste any potential applicants time and would communicate to them the current state of the sale, the writer quotes “in excess of 20 viewings cancelled” I am not sure as to the validity of this claim, as we work for the vendor in ensuring the best price is obtained for their property and it would not make sense for us to cancel viewings if the vendor had not instructed us to do so. It is a commonplace to deal with multiple offers particular in today’s buoyant market place .

In summary the cancellation of viewings and the number of offers on a property would be information communicated to a vendor / seller not an applicant or buyer if this is a genuine grievance as stated above please contact me as I am keen to discuss and put right.
