I am a landlord of 10 properties and have had a very bad experience with Homebells estate agents. The agency owner promised me a rent guaranteed scheme which he has not kept, actually he is in debt with me over ‚£30000.00! which is going to cost me to take them to court which is impossible as he has no assets or money, that's what he tells me. I have tired to contact him and his agency many and many times and all I get is he will call you or stop calling us or we will call the police. His staff members are very rude and unprofessional. They have damaged and made alterations to my property without my permission and threaten if I tell the authorities they will stop paying rent or make me pay them for the remaining term to get out with them as stated in the lease agreement. At the start he was nice, spoke nicely and promised and has lied on everything except making money from my properties and keeping the money. I urge landlords not to deal with this man or company as they lie and put you in Debt. And i'm not the first as found out too late. To new landlords be careful.

This Landlord gave us 3 of his properties and not 10 on a commercial lease and later pretented we were acting as his agent only. The properties were in complete run down condition which required extensive refurbishments. He agreed to a fixed term of 5 years and then after about 7 months when We had invested around over £30,000 in bringing all properities to a livable standard, spent on building works, white goods, furnitures etc, the landlord decided to sell the property looking that his property values had increased considerably. We sent him invoices and receipts of the works we carried out by recorded post. He refused to pay us even a penny towards the works. He then offered us a 1% selling fee hereby asking for further services from us. When we refused to accept his terms which were unreasonable as the 1% he was offereing us didnt even cover our investment yet alone asking us to give him a sales service all included in the 1%, he tooks the properties by force without giving us any notice of intention and now benefits from all our hard works. Took rents directly from the tenants and changed the locks to the property.

Even today his tenants use our furnitures, white goods etc for which he didnt contribute a penny towards.

We dont recommend this landlord to any other agent, be carefull especially when a landlord brags about having 10 properties and "uses" other peoples moneys for his own pleasure.
Makes promises and doesnt fulfil.

We are a fairly small business compared to other Estate Agents and in this tough market try and make an honest living. However, this landlord, knowing all this, He has caused our business so much loss it hurts to see him commenting on these sites pretending he is a saint.

Think about it... How can you let someone owe you £30,000 in rent for 3 properties. Was he sleeping.
Obviously there's much more to his story and only when you go deeper into things, you will then realise the truth.

Completely untrue, the boiler was covered by Homecare insurance and they installed a brand new boiler within 3 days Max. The British Gas Covered for hot plates and heaters which they provides directly. The mere fact was that this tenant made it a reason not to pay any rent and then brought his g.friend to live with him without prior consent, cause nuisance to the other occpants by having loud parties and then finally left when the rest of the co-tenants asked him to leave as they could take no m ...

This perons deposit was returned back to her in June 2013 within the time limits allicated in the agreement she signed. It was necessary that that procedure was followed to allow the agent reasonable time to process the payment as soon as administratively possible. Miss Doreen demanded her deposit to be refunded on the same day that she left the property. Unfortunately this was not possible under the agreement. She was annoyed that it wasnt paid on thesame day. However she was paid in June 201 ...
