I am retiring and my wife and I were thinking of moving form Battersea to the coast. To get a sense of the market we viewed some properties in Eastbourne before my house was on the market. A partner agent there forwarded our details to Tony Ennis the manager at Bairstow Eves who rang me and very politely asked if he could come and value our property. I said not yet but I would let him know. He asked if he could ring me occasionaly to see if I was ready and I said yes. He rang several times and in the end, perhaps because I was a bit embarrassed, I let him coume arouund for the valuation. He was realistic and suggested a competitive price but with a open house approach. I got other quotes but he seemed the most professional of those I spoke to and we went with Bairstow Eves. Tony agressively advertised the property and on the open day, which was on a Saturday, more than thirty potential buyers viewed the house in an hour. By mid-day Monday I was in receipt of several offers and had agreed a sale at substantially over the asking price. We have just exchanged contracts, and if I'm honest, without Tony's polite persistence and professionalism my house probabely wouldn't even be on the market yet never mind sold. I highly recommend Tony and his team to anyone in need of professional advice and excellent servce for the sale of their home in Battersea or Clapham. All in all a very impressive experience and I should also mention competitively priced.
