Townends impressed us from when we first registered with them as prospective buyers almost a year ago. At that time we weren't quite ready to sell and buy a new property but were just putting out feelers. Myles was very professional and welcoming, and several months later, when we were ready to seriously look at properties, Myles remembered us when we walked back in the store, which is pretty impressive when you consider how many customers must walk in off the street. Myles was great because he understood exactly what sort of property we were looking for, and didn't contact us to talk about properties that were not relevant to us (as so many other agents do). When Myles contacted us again a short time later, it was to let us know about a perfect house that he knew we'd love (and we really did). We got a viewing set up for the following day and, within a week, had had our offer accepted. At this point Andrew became our primary contact. It took almost four months to exchange contracts, due to complications further up the chain, and during this time everyone involved was put under a lot of pressure from the bottom of the chain. Despite it being a stressful time, Andrew was brilliant at keeping his cool, providing us with updates and generally trying to find ways to fix the little glitches along the way. My partner and I had said from day one that we would love to use Townends to sell our property, whenever in the future we decide to do so, purely because Myles and Andrew had seemed so much more human than the other agents we had come across. Would definitely recommend Townends if you're looking for a professional service with an agent who's understanding, patient and collected if you encounter difficulties down the line.

The agent fees were reasonable. Initially, we were informed of a different (and lower) fee than per usual, but this misinformation was clarified and we were eventually granted the previous fee as aforementioned. So we didn't feel tricked with hidden costs.
