In the late Spring of 2013 I purchased a studio flat in Stratford-Upon-Avon as a buy-to-let. The flat was being marketed by Connells. The sales department of the Stratford branch expedited their part in the purchasing process with admirable efficiency. The rental department then agreed to manage the flat, continuing the arrangement with the previous owner. Within a month of the sale's completion a suitable tenant had been found. Throughout the initial stages of locating a suitable tenant and in particular, the pursuit of references and assembly of the tenancy agreement (which included the slightly problematic need to remove an item of furniture from the flat) I received clear, sound advice as well as swift, friendly and informative responses to the (very) many queries I raised. When a problem arose during the early part of the tenancy the branch staff collaborated willingly and seamlessly with their colleagues in the finance department, enabling things to be rectified amost immediately. This high level of professionalism has given me great confidence in Connells and I look forward eagerly to future dealings.

They told me specific amounts when I viewed and then tried to charge more than double that after I'd already taken the first step so I couldn't really back out. I complained and they agreed to reduce but this is the only time they've settled a problem.

What agent could do to change your mind?
ON the whole they could have just done their job properly and actually be bothered. Train their staff . Give feedback - not expect the client to chase.
