Baird Lumsden were extremely passive in the selling process. On initial contact with the company, their female employee was very condescending about the fact that they were a 'rural estate' agent. As we had moved out of the house already, a viewing agent was employed who would frequently arrive 2 mins before scheduled viewing time and could not answer questions posed by prospective buyers because he hadn't read-up on the information which we had provided i.e. quarterly heating bills etc; subsequently he left the house lights on and the carpets soiled with his muddy footprints.

On complaining (or providing feedback!) we were told that he did not leave the lights on and the footprints were not his. Unsurprisingly, with a For Sale sign that has remained broken for 4 months, the house remains unsold after 2 years and we have had enough. There are multiple poor examples of their poor service, but I do not intend to waste any more time, money or effort on this company - my intent is merely to highlight that this company might not be the high-end provider that they profess to be.

A company with very little appreciation of customer service and service recovery.

Mrs Freeman bought her home from Baird Lumsden and we were happy to act again in the sale of the property. Unfortunately market conditions just after the credit crunch proved challenging and it quickly became apparent that we would not be able to sell the property for the price paid at the peak of the market. Despite our best efforts and many viewings the property could not be sold for a price acceptable to the clients. During the sale the clients moved out and a tenant moved in. The muddy footprints and lights left on were due to the tenant not our experienced viewing person who has worked with us for many years. We hope Mrs Freeman secures a sale soon and note the property remains for sale after nearly another 2 years even at a much reduced price.
