Taking out the lease, paperwork and getting set up was handled well and very efficient.
Maintenance is lazy, reactive and indifferent. The 3 problems requiring attention prior to moving in were not done at all or were botched and contractors had to come back once we moved in. Repairing these three items prior to moving in was part of the conditions we stipulated as a condition of the lease.
Since moving in other issues have come to light. Broken extractor fan, broken toilet seat, other toilet 'rocking' on base, toilet cistern leaking, broken roller blind. Some of these were listed in the inventory and therefore should have been fixed prior to us moving in. Some of these have required 2 visits as the job was botched on the first visit.
Now more contractor visits are required - 2 x electrical testing, 1 x gas testing and a new leak through the roof. Obviously testing could have been done before we moved in. All of this within the first 6 weeks! There is no attempt to limit the number of visits made by contractors by having them working on the same day.
