Went to view a property, man who showed us around was nice and seemed very knowledgeable. We asked about parking and he assured us there was parking outside but we had to buy permits from the council, he even specified the price and said we would be able to get permits for both cars.
We signed the contract, paid the admin fee and my boyfriend (who thankfully is organised otherwise would have found out even later) applied for our permits from the council. To cut a long story short, the property was not eligible for a permit and had never been registered - the previous tenant didn't have a car. I can only assume they jumped to conclusions without checking the facts, but they shouldn't be advertising this when they don't know facts! We told them that without parking, we couldn't live there and we were assured it was fine at the time.
Anyway we phoned Pygott on thursday and were assured they would sort it. Friday came, still heard nothing. My boyfriend called and the woman he spoke to sounded irritated, as if we were hassling her. She told us she would keep us updating.
We then get to the following wednesday. Still heard nothing. Panicking by this point as we had 2 weeks to find a new place if parking wasn't sorted, as we had given our landlord our notice.
We got passed person to person on wednesday. Apparently the person we needed to speak to was "always busy and couldn't phone us back." We were both at work yet for some reason we were chasing them with numerous phone calls and no answers. In the end I phoned the council myself who told me we weren't eligible and Pygott would have to write to them with an appeal which could take months.
We then had to find another house in very little time. If my boyfriend wasn't organised and we had applied for permits just the week before we would have been homeless. And they still couldn't be bothered to keep us updated or get back to us, even though they knew our situation.

The property is back on the market and it still doesn't mention the fact there is NO PARKING!

Would never ever use them again. I wish I'd seen all these reviews sooner.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Do not advertise properties as having parking when there is no parking and there never has been! Nobody got back to us, we had to keep calling even though we were at work and members of staff seemed irritated by us 'hassling,' even though we were going to be homeless in 2 weeks if it wasn't sorted out. Property is being advertised and still doesn't mention there is no parking which is appalling and wasting peoples time.

Shocking. Was going to let the poor communication go because property completed and I no longer needed to deal with them. I am missing keys so I have contacted… apparently I have lost them! No responsibility taken for anything!...
