The Agent promised to find the most suitable tenant for my particular well furnished looked after and private property. They contacted me almost immediately and informed me that the very first applicants were a respectable, well researched couple, and well worth having as tenants.
After the tenants took up the let, not at any time, did the agent offer the slightest bit of advice regarding any issue whatsoever when asking for anything. Consequently, (being a novice landlord) I made every effort to please, comply and deal with fairly regarding a host of requests and complaints and problems, including the installation of a brand new Worcester combi-boiler in the space of 5 days, with the loan of a new electric heater in the interim.
After the tenant moved out, I discovered that they had removed and reinstated a 2,8m wide double glazed window unit in the lounge in order to remove my entire 3-piece-suite!!
At no time during the let and afterwards, did the agent show any concern for the landlord for the landlords rights and fair treatment.
The whole experience was a total disaster.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Show SOME CONSIDERATION for the landlord.

I have yet to receive my overpayment or deposit, and they claim it takes them 10 working days to process after they have resolved any queries. Under the TDS guidelines they should return the deposit within 10 days
