I can't help comment on your reply but I think the letting business in MK needs an overhaul.
I have been letting here in Glasgow with the same land lord for 7 years plus. I have done immense property improvements in agreement with the land lord so I kind of know when I am dealing with a good land lords and when not. I also have a letting agency which I have an excellent relationship with. All major issues fixed within days and not weeks as seems to be the norm reading other reviews on the web. However, I also appreciate that there are good and bad tenants.
Now, does it matter what plans RP had or how many properties RP was to see when travelling down from NW England?
Your agency is unfortunately not the only agency which shows total lack of interest for clients. I travelled from Glasgow with my wife to MK for 5 days to view properties. Only Cauldwell properties did actually show interest in our presence in Milton Keynes and showed us three properties, although we did not find what we were looking for while in MK they kept phoning us while back in Glasgow to assist finding a property that suited our requirements.
At the moment we are looking at a property listed with Elevation estate agents for £ 1100ish which we are super keen renting.
Now take notes because this happens with all agencies we have dealt with; I have sent emails, I have phoned, I have proposed paying deposits, admin fees - well the whole lots. Have I ever received a reply on phone or email...... Nope.
This is, unfortunately, not a lone incident when reading various web sites with reviews and recommendations. So why don’t the letting agencies perform better and get a better reputation? Is it because the money is easy made and there is always another hungry tenant waiting for the property you are offering?
I am available for a constructional conversation on this with any agency who fancy debating the matter.
Many thanks,
Michael
