Dear Toby, I have been an estate agent for 12 years and never been accused of this. The facts are the vendor came to see me on sat 7th dec and said they had an offer from you but wanted more. I told them to ask you for more. I recieved a call from a potential buyer at 9.15am on monday the 9th Dec and booked a viewing for Friday the 13th Dec as that was the earliest day they could do. The vendor called me later that morning, said they had accepted the offer but wanted the viewing to go ahead as they had nothing to sell. You called us on wed 11th dec asking why it was for sale, i told you we were now just taking names until survey went in. Unlucky for you the potential buyers liked it offered on the 13th dec and you then had the chance to raise your offer, which you didnt. The no.1 duty of an estate agent is to get the most amount of money for their vendor and we did that. We always act in a professinal manner and were duty bound to put all offers forward. I ran over these points with you on Mon 16th Dec but it saddens me that you have put this online. I am guessing an agent has directed you to this site to do this, but the sad thing for me is the agent obviously doesnt know the facts or his job properly. We got ££££ more than you were prepared to offer for our vendor. We directed you back to the original agent when many agents would sweep any sale under the carpet for their own gain. You are welcome to come and see the many cards we get from vendors and purchasers thanking us for our hard work. That is why 2013 was a fantastic year for Fulfords, my staff and my office. We love our jobs and we love selling houses for our vendors, we have done nothing wrong, we have acted on our vendors instructions and got them the most for their home. They are over the moon with us, our service and their only regret is they didnt use us earlier
