I offered on a "no chain" "quick sale" investment flat in July. I am still waiting to exchange as the vendor is in massive negative equity, (should they not have told me this), and has been unable to obtain approval from her mortgage lender to sell.

I believe that they may have committed an offense under the Property Misdescription Act, and shall forward a complain to Trading Standards shortly, I spoke to the TSO yesterday and he said that they are brilliant in staying within the law, (just). I shall also be complaining to the Property Ombudsman as I believe that they have conducted them themselves in a manner likely to bring the Industry into disrepute.

Mr Dance, as we discussed customer service is always very important to us and try our best to look after all of our much valued clients. I am sorry you experienced delays whilst purchasing this Leasehold apartment which are never as straight forward as purchasing a Freehold house. The Ombudman has now confirmed the delays were out of our control with the property eventually exchanging in December.
