Hello

I am writing to express my concern on Unida Place's handling of the current rental agreement I have with them. It has been over 2 months and I still haven't received a deposit certificate as promised in the contract. Can anyone recommend a legal service to claim the deposit back or if there is an existing lawsuit which I could join as it seems to be affecting a lot of people? I believe deposits should be protected under a scheme within 30 days but this hasn't happened. As a student I can't afford to lose such amounts given my financial condition but if only I was informed fully before signing of the contract. Also, our internet connection was terminated by Glide due to non payment of bills by Unida Place even though we have settled our rents fully and we have been without an internet connection for over a week now. It is hard to live peacefully in the flat given the terrible handling of the situation and no replies to our emails or phone calls. Also a flat which is ideally suited for only 3-4 people max is being rented out to 5 people in order to maximise profits at the cost of living conditions for existing tenants. I don't understand how that is legally allowed to put as many people in a flat as you want. If anyone else has had similar issues with Unida Place, could you please get in touch or recommend any legal solutions to the issues we are facing?

Hi they moved to Second floor, 91 Charlotte Street, London W1T 4QF I'll try the unannounced visit today to get my deposit back as well... My ex flatmate told me to ask Unida for the DPC number (reference number under which your deposit was registered) and raise a dispute with the help of a solicitor. And Nicky if you're in France I think it's going to be difficult for you, you might have your ex flatmates still in UK? Good luck! ...

Smith, I am sorry you left with bad feelings. However, exploiting the lease agreement is not what we are, or have ever been about. And as for extra hidden charges, all charges are within the agreement. The service charge covers all utility bills, council tax etc. and not just the cleaning of the property. As for time in getting back to people, if you email like we ask, then we can resolve matters more quickly, than if people consistently call the office asking for maintenance requests to be ...

Hello Londonrenter this is Unida Place. We wanted to answer some of the important points you raise. We recognise that your experience shows that communication has been one area where we needed to make improvements. While we specialise in lets of minimum 6 months duration we are sometimes able t arrange shorter lets but these come with separate conditions. Nevertheless these should always be explained clearly before signing so we apologise if this wasn't done successfully on this occasion. We ...

Hello David, this is Unida Place We appreciate that room viewings can be an inconvenience to tenants but they are unfortunately unavoidable, they are part and parcel of rented accommodation anywhere. For this reason our contract clearly states that in the event of non-renewal at the end of your agreement there will be such visits during the last months of your tenancy. Our contract has recently been revamped to make everything, including this, more clear. We do also have a policy of informi ...
