What a corrupt lying and deceitful business i've ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. Firstly I was forced to leave my property in Redhill as they allowed the landlord to increase the rent by £300pm!! I was then forced to look in the Crawley area as this was my only option as the Redhill area had nothing available in my budget. Upon viewing the property Darren showed me around and told me that the rent was to be £925 ONCE the work had been done. It was an extensive list as the property was below sub standard and unsafe to move into when i viewed it, but was promised the work would be done before i moved in and before the £925pm rent was charged as this price was to reflect the property once the work had been completed. The day before I was to move in I was bombarded with all of these costs I had to pay and hadn't been told about. I was also lied to and was led to believe work had been done in the house me and my young family were to move into. The agent Chris, who now no longer appears to work there as he was not on the dropdown list abouve, told me the work had been done so I went to the office they gladly sat there and let me sign a 6 month contract knowing full well no work had been done. Electrics were unsafe the whole house smelt of urine there was rubbish inside all over the house still food in the cupboards! They didnt care they had me in there for 6 months with the contract signed under false pretence, I am now being evicted as I threatened court action and have complained so much! Just over 1 week before Christmas with 3 young children....These people don't care about the tenants, they've done nothing to help my situation. The work hasn't been done, and still i'm being charged £925 for a house that is quite literally falling apart, me and my children hurt ourselves on a daily basis, my 3 year old daughter nearly fell through the stairs as the staircase broke off as she was walking down the stairs holding onto the bannister! I phoned and reported it but surprise surprise! NOTHING WAS DONE! Nobody ever phones back or does anything, they just care about getting their money. I asked them to move me and my family to another suitable and safe property and they said I still had to pay a holding deposit on a new place! Don't ever go with choices, not unless you like getting screwed over then by all means they're the estate agents for you! letting one of their properties has quite literally destroyed my life, my husband lost his job due to the stress of it all, my children for some part had to go and live with their dad as the house was just not suitable for them to live in, my mental health has gone down hill and am now on medication for anxiety because of all the stress and worry choices have caused me. I have come back to find my landlord in the property without my permission or prior notice and choices wouldn't even change the locks, stuff since has consequently gone missing and been stolen but still they don't care as its not their problem is it. My advice to anybody reading this go with any other agent than Choices, they are nasty heartless money grabbing lying and deceitful disgusting excuses for human beings and would not trust them. They don't even deserve to be rated I have no idea how they are still allowed to be in business!!! I'd rather be homeless living in a cardboard box than have to rent through Choices again, i'd be a lot happier, in fact, if i'm honest, a cardboard box is probably in better condition than this house i'm being forced to rent, and being charged £925 a month for the "privilege"! Its disgusting how they've treated me and my family, and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it!!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Charged the correct amount of rent. APOLOGISED!! Not lied to me and lead me to sign a contract under false pretences. Ended the contract on the day I moved in and found me and my family somewhere safe and suitable to live.Attached Filesnbsp;
