My husband and I rented a propert from Dwell for two years. The first process of paying holding deposit and moving into the property was good. However, for the two years we lived in the property Dwell rung twice to arrange an inspection, which surprisingly they never turned up to carry and never bothered to call and cancel or apologise for not turning up. We have since moved out of the property and it has been 5 months since we moved out and still we haven't been paid our deposit back. We have tried to contact Dwell to speak to Daniel, Sam and Hajit and everyday it's the same story that they're busy and they will call us back. We requested our deposit through the tenants deposit scheme but Dwell refused to pay back our hard earned deposit. We have written emails to them which they have completely chosen to ignore. When we moved out of the property we met Sam and he took pictures for the inventory and he confirmed that everything was in perfect order. We even met the owner of the house together with his mum and he verbally agreed that the house had been left in good standard. However, Dwell is still refusing to pay us our deposit and has not even written to us to inform us of the reasons why they're withholding our deposit. Dwell has proved to be a very unprofessional company and I would never recommend it to anyone under the sun. You can be happy renting from them now but come the day you move out it will be a different story. If you know what's good for you DON'T RENT FROM DWELL ESTATES in Walthamstow.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Act and deal professionally with tenants. Stick to the terms and conditions laid out in the lease agreement.
