We chose CJ Hole to sell our house after vetting three agents. Despite their valuation of our property being the lowest of the three valuations, and their charges being second cheapest (or second dearest), we decided to go with them for the following reasons.
Clearly, Tim Pepper and his team had excellent local knowledge, and came across as a more 'professional team' than the others. Weekly updates, and the briefing of the 'whole team' as to the features and benefits of our property, were elements of their service which we considered key to achieve a sale.
We also viewed many houses through C J Hole, and without exception their agents, kept arranged appointments or made contact via phone/email if the appointment had to be changed, knew the history/details of the houses that they were trying to sell, and strove to ensure that our house requirements were met in the properties that they suggested we viewed.
This was not the case with several other agents that we viewed houses through. Missed appointments, double booking, clueless responses to obvious questions when viewing properties, and pointless suggestions as to houses we should view that were no where near our requirement specification.
Obviously, we felt that the professionalism shown by C J Hole in selling houses to us, would be experienced by potential buyers of our property.
As it transpired, their original valuation of our property was the most realistic. As we progressed through the sale of our property, and the purchase of another through them, their support and effort in chasing other people in the chain, and keeping us informed of developments was key to ensuring a relatively smooth transition to sale/purchase, at what can be a very stressful and difficult time.
In short the C J Hole team were excellent, and we would recommend them unreservedly.
