We engaged Wilsons to sell our house. This was after we were visited by a man who gave himself a title that was more than branch manager but included that post. (During the time Wilson's had us on their books he was let go.) He promised us better than all other agencies - a service like no one else would be possible to give. He was right really as we had to part company with them as they did not fulfil their part of the agreement. First of all the presentation of our property on Rightmove was not as we expected. We were never shown the presentation before it went online. It had words running in to each other and the pictures looked immature. The email address they gave us at that time never seemed to connect and the better pictures we took never reached them. When they set up viewings they never informed us. We did not get a email. It would only be by phoning in and asking did we find out that on a certain day there would be a viewing. After a viewing in most cases we were not informed as to the results unless we chased it and even then sometimes they did not know. A new manager etc was appointed to visited us telling us that the service would improve. It did not. The final straw was when we were going away for a weekend. On the Friday we were contacted that someone wanted to be shown our house on a Saturday afternoon. But they could not do it. They were informed that we would not be there and were assured that the viewing would take place. We left the house in tip top condition, the heater on and everything ready for the showing. At 11am we phoned the agency Wilson's and informed them that the house would be warm and after the agent visited that he would please turn down the heating switch out the lights and close the doors between the house and conservatory (escaping heat). At no time did they inform us that there would be no viewing. We returned late Sunday to find the house as we left it. There had not been a viewing. We wrote an email and left a message on their phone. Monday no one bothered to contact us and apologise. Finally we contacted them by email and told them that their service was atrocious. No one apologised. We agreed with them to release us from the contract, which they did. Today we collected the key. The office was full of agents. None of them greeted us. Only one heard rose. We asked for our key. Speechless our key was returned. No other eyes looked up. Not one said anything. We left.
