Horrible and stressful experience, even if you like the property please do not rent through acron. the property was for £1000 for unfinished I offer £1050 to give me fully furnished flat in May 2012. Firstly, the Admin work was not completed by the move in date. hence I was not given keys on the promised date, I had to live in hostel with 18 months child for 3 days without home cooked food.The day i was asked to collect keys Karl the agent was not receiving my calls and at the end of the day he answered my call by shouting 'I am driving' and hung up. As I had already paid my deposit I popped in there lewisham office to collect keys, Which as usual didn't exist and same with the agent. I was in tears in front of Acorn staff and total helpless. Some how keys were handed on next day.
Property was not furnished and was full of dust, although it was a brand new property and unused being just beside road side the dust was understood. I lived in the property for 18 month with a bed, bed site, small sofa, kettle, microwave which was provided by them later on. No wardrobe, no dinning table etc.... till day I moved out my bags were unpacked and I was forced to site on floor.
Due to heavy rain in 2012 there were dampness on the wall which when informed was asked to open windows. Recently my 2 year old child was sick with breathing problem health visitors asked me to get out of the property as soon as possible as the moulds and dampness effecting her health.
Now, That I have vacated the property before 2 weeks of my move out date, my 6 weeks deposit + 2 week rent is not stack. They are not ready to release my deposit, asking me to pay for painting, for bulb with never exist, not ready for accepting damped and moulds on walls, they expect me to give them unused cooker etc
On top of it they claim I have not paid full deposit and also comment 'We let you in with less deposit as you were homeless.' In fact, would not even attend you if haven't paid in full.
VERY BAD SERVICE & BAD ACCOUNTING
If you go with acorn you are signing up for stress and sleepless nights
